We are a group of 14 artists and two musicians running a not-for-profit studio group.
We opened for the first time in July 2009 as part of the Hebden Bridge Open Studios. In the time since then we have become known as the ‘friendly studios’ and have welcomed many hundreds of visitors through our bright red door.
In addition to our studios we have a fabulous new gallery and workshop space where we regularly exhibit and run workshops through out the year. The space is also available for hire for exhibitions, workshops or similar events.
If you would like further details about courses, our hirable space or our Associate Membership scheme please get in touch.

Your site’s looking great, it sounds as though you’re off to a brilliant start. Good luck with everything that you do.

Thank you, Brenda for your comments. It’s a pity you live so far away, albeit a beautiful part of Scotland, or you could come and join us.
Best wishes, Sue
Hi there
My name is Susie Liddle and I am a printmaker(mixed media) and ceramic sculptor based in North Wales. I am a member of an artists co-operative (27 of us) who run Oriel Scala in Prestatyn. You can find us on Facebook and we have also recently started a website. We opened our doors at the beginning of December last year so are still very much in our infancy as it seems your group is too. It might be interesting to forge links between our groups and wondered how you feel about that. I was really interested to read about your initiative in lending art to sheltered housing schemes. That’s an idea we haven’t come up with and is a great idea for ‘giving’ something to the community. Even reaching those who are unable to get out. Hope you won’t mind me suggesting a similar idea to the Scala group. Best of luck for the future and hope to hear from you. Susie Liddle….. susielid@aol.com
